Garden the Aquarium

 The garden the Aquarium is one of those rare places in the city centre where it is possible to have a rest a little from surrounding vanity. This small park settles down directly ahead of theatre "Moscow Council". Now a garden the Aquarium some paths are completely restored, laid, convenient benches are established many. The garden is planted perfectly trees and shrubs. Among the central elements of a garden it is possible to allocate a decorative arch and smoothly working four fountains. The history of a garden "Aquarium" begins since 1893, that far year in possession of the big Moscow house owner on a surname of Malkiel the new garden which it has been decided to name "Chicago" has opened. In this new garden the theatre, and also some platforms for performances have been arranged. In the park centre the fine fountain with falls took places, there was also an iron openwork tower which was used for illuminations. The theatre carried the name "Aquarium". In far 1927 at theatre has begun the work new Theatre of light opera. By the way, the garden "Aquarium" has been described still M.A.Bulgakovym who lived in the neighbourhood. In 1959 the out-of-date building of theatre has been restored under the project of architect M.S.Zhirova. The new theatre began to be called Theatre of a name of the Moscow Council, this name remains till now. In 1975 the territory of a garden "Aquarium" has been adapted for rest, the fencing which has protected a garden from street then has been arranged. To reach a garden the Aquarium it is necessary to reach to metro station Majakovsky and to pass on a garden ring a little.
